Don Herting Personal Bio
Don Herting was born in Madison, South Dakota in 1951 but lived most of his adult life in Salmon Arm British Colombia. Don is a veteran of playing lead guitar in many bands over the years. He strummed lead guitar for the first time in 1965. He ventured off on his own and started playing small clubs and bars as "single" in 1980, which he performs to this current date. Dons love of music keeps him performing and recording all the time and shows no end in sight. Looking forward to the next album. Don collects guitars as well as play them effortlessly. He also plays the five string banjo and mandolin also.
Don is highly influenced by country, country rock, blues and early rock and loves artists such as Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Roy Clark, Don Williams, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, and Elvis Presley.
Along with his love of music old and new, Don loves to camp and ride motorcycles.
Charities close to Don's heart are The Cancer Foundation and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
